Critically practiced landscape architecture is essential for making great communities and cities. It is essential for making vital spaces that are healthy for all the creatures that inhabit those communities. Our goal is to make great places--spaces that are full of potentials for everyday life and for making people's lives better. Sometimes this means in small, mundane ways, and sometimes this means changing people's lives in fundamental ways. Landscape architecture is an infrastructure for making wonderful things happen.
